A&S Summer Online Teaching Innovation Grant Application
As we seek to advance teaching innovation and to support the development of pedagogical practices that promote learning for students from all backgrounds and of all identities, the College of Arts & Science and its Summer Session are now accepting proposals for innovative courses specifically designed to be taught online in the Summer 2026 term that are informed by our A&S Summer Online Learning Guiding Principles.
A&S Summer Online Pilot instructors will join in Arts & Sciences’ shared mission in and value for excellence in education by cultivating and facilitating a student-centered online learning community.
If selected, faculty will be part of a primarily asynchronous Canvas learning community where they will engage with evidence-based strategies and collaborate with colleagues to thoughtfully redesign an existing course to be taught online. Through intentional touch points and relevant workshop opportunities beginning in late Fall 2025 and continuing through mid-Spring 2026, faculty will enhance their existing knowledge and skill in online course design, condensed course pedagogy, ed tech tools, and Canvas use prior to implementing their online course in Summer 2026.
Applications are due October 15, 2025.
Information about eligibility, funding amount, and application requirements can be found on the call for proposals page. For questions, please contact Ashley June Moore.
